On 18-19 April 2013, the Aboriginal Peak Organisations of NT (APONT) held a Aboriginal Governance Summit in Tennant Creek to discuss Aboriginal governance priorities and share ideas about what works.

Over 200 people from communities and organisations across the NT attended the summit.

The opening address from David Ross was titled ‘Taking power: Taking Responsibility – Achieving Strong Aboriginal Governance and Self-Determination. Read more about APONT here.
