On 6 February 2013, the Prime Minister presented her annual Closing the Gap Statement and tabled the fifth annual Closing the Gap Report in Parliament. The Report assesses the progress made to address six Closing the Gap targets set by the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) in 2008. The report also includes an outline of the Australian Government’s policies and programs under the governance and leadership building block including the development of a National Indigenous Governance and Leadership Framework.
