Dr Pham is an experienced researcher with over eight years of expertise in Indigenous higher education research. Her work focuses on enhancing Indigenous student success by examining how senior university leadership and institutional governance can better support student experiences and outcomes.
Dr Thu Pham is a Project Specialist in the Business Development and Advisory team at the Australian Indigenous Governance Institute (AIGI). She brings expertise in project advisory and development across Indigenous leadership, governance, and strategic initiatives.
She has a strong track record in Indigenous education research, including examining the social determinants that shape higher education outcomes for Indigenous students. She led the development and validation of the Higher Education Success Factor (HESF) model—a practical framework for measuring the impact of social determinants on student completion in Australian universities. In 2025, she was recognised with the ACGR Award for Excellence in Research in Indigenous Excellence and Empowerment. In the same year, she secured research funding totalling more than $422,000 to support Indigenous-focused research and strategic initiatives.
